Sean Sweeney Tennis Canada Instructor and ACE Technical Specialist
I have known Sean Sweeney for approximately 20 years. Over the past many years, I have observed Sean as the President of the National Capital Tennis Association, a parent of a competitive tennis playing son and tennis tournament organizer. This past year and a half, Sean started SCORE Tennis Academy in Ottawa. My son is a three time Provincial champion and National singles finalist and doubles champion. He has worked with Sean and his group of kids. In my opinion, Sean is an excellent tennis coach that has very good knowledge of all areas of player development. I know he has invested considerable time and money to learn the game through Heath Watters Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.
I have watched Sean interact with his student’s, parents and my son and am very impressed with his level of knowledge, commitment and dedication to improving kids tennis in a positive way. He conducts excellent drills, fitness sessions and video analysis with his students. He has a clear, patient communication style with both players and parents that is very effective.
I have watched Tennis Canada and Provincial coaches over the past 3 years with my son and have 16 years experience coaching and 25plus years of playing experience. Sean has the experience to step in and coach players at any level. He has raised the level of tennis in the City of Ottawa and has had positive results with juniors of all levels. I believe at least 5 kids in his program qualified for nationals just this summer.
